The exterminator!

Many version codes and squashed bugs later Target Calculator 1.12 is out!

Thank you for your bug reports! There are so many Android powered devices out there and making sure my app is stable on them all is no small task, but thanks to your reports I have been able to hunt them down and squash them much easier!

Most of the reports I have been getting have been from one problem that I should have fixed in the latest version, so make sure to update.

  1. Nice sw. I have been looking for something like this for the android phone. For some reason it crashed for me. I have no idea why.

Also please add support for the metric system! Tia.

  2. This version crashed every time I took a photo, lots of LogCat output about leaks etc.

  3. Gungho, if you could send me the logcat(or the pertaining part), that would help me with fixing your bug. targetcalculator at Gmail.com

  4. Yes, I cannot take photos from within the app either. Crashes every time. (Samsung galaxy i9000 froyo 2.2.1) But when I take a pic the ordinary way then import it to the app it works. Except it gets a black border on the right edge of the pic when the app is finished with it...

  5. The camera is the hardest part to get working. Every phone has a different camera and supported resolutions and screen sizes. I'll see what I can to to get it working for yours.

The black bars are there because the picture's aspect ratio doesn't exactly match the display's.

  6. Some requests while I have your attention.

*Save profiles, ammo and distance etc.
    *Metric system (pretty please)
*zoom in the picture, for placing bullet holes.
*Magically recognizing calibrated targets so the app knows the dimensions.
*Also find the bullet-holes (well most of them) for you.
*Perhaps a score counter? or some easy way to calculate scores and display them on the picture.

    Best Regards Henrik

  7. Henrik, thank you for the suggestions. Right now I'm just working on small bug fixes. I will be implementing new features, including some that you mentioned, in version 2.0.
